Body
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative project is to establish and support detention reform in accordance with juvenile detention alternative initiatives; and,
WHEREAS, the Family Court Division has been awarded a grant in the amount of $15,000.00 by the Office of State Courts Administrators in furtherance of the Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative project for the period April 1, 2006, through September 30, 2006; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2006 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
