Body
WHEREAS, the Medical Examiner’s Office has been awarded the Unidentified Remains and Forensic Equipment Replacement Project Grant awarded by the Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance Grant, for the period of March 9, 2024, to March 31, 2028; and,
WHEREAS, currently the Medical Examiner’s Office would like to utilize Forensic Genetic Technology (FGG) to uncover the identities of the unidentified remains in their care; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made from the undesignated fund balance of the 2024 Grant Fund:
