Body
HEREAS, the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Unit currently has a need for two (2) 2026 Ford F-150 Police Responder vehicles that are in daily use; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for effective fleet maintenance that two new vehicles be purchased for such daily use; and,
WHEREAS, these vehicles will be purchased using grant funds received by the Missouri Department of Transportation, as approved by Ordinance 6019; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.4 of the Jackson County Code, the Sheriff and Director of Finance and Purchasing recommend the award of a contract for the furnishing of the two (2) trucks for use by the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Unit to CFLR Auto, LLC of Republic, MO under the terms and conditions of State of Missouri Contract No. MC250182003, an existing competitively bid government contract, at an actual cost to the County in the amount of $97,978.00; and,
WHEREAS, an award under the state contract is recommended due to the significant discounts offered to larger entities; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the award be made under the existing competitively bid government contract as recommended by the Sheriff and Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Interim Director be and hereby is authorized to execute any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
