Body
WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit West High School Cheerleaders tied with the Lee's Summit North High School Cheerleaders to win the Class 5 Missouri State Cheerleading Championship, held October 5, 2014, at the University of Missouri - Columbia; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Cheerleading Squad at Lee's Summit West won its first state championship last year; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit West Cheerleading squad is led by Coaches Lori Setley and Sarah Pyle; and,
 
WHEREAS, the varsity team members are Kali Boydston, Alyssa Camacho, Rachel Carnes, Stacie Chatman, Ashton Dobson, Morgan Fanning, Lina Gutierrez, Anna Hadley, Chloe King, Brittany Maxon, Rylie Michael, Sydney Miller, Chima Okafor, Alecea Stricklin, Hannah Talley, Emily York, and Hayley York; and,
 
WHEREAS, high school cheerleading squads strive to boost school spirit, promote good sportsmanship, and develop positive crowd involvement; and,
WHEREAS, the parents and classmates of the Lee's Summit West High School Cheerleaders are proud of the team's outstanding showing in the tournament; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates      the Lee's Summit West High School Cheerleaders on winning the Missouri State Cheerleading Championship.
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
