WHEREAS, by Resolution 14464, dated February 24, 2003, the Legislature did award contracts for the furnishing of drug treatment services for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Drug Court program to the following vendors at the following unit costs in an aggregate amount not to exceed $699,659.00:

and,
WHEREAS, these contracts authorize two one-year extensions at the same rates as reflected in the attached documents, upon the mutual agreement of the parties; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature has determined that one-year term and supply extensions of these contracts, with the same vendors and at the same rates, is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that one-year extensions to the above-referenced contracts are hereby authorized, and that the County Executive be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the extensions; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts as extended, to the extent that sufficient appropriations are included in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
