Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Child Support Enforcement of the Missouri Department of Social Services (DCSE) has been delegated the responsibility for the development and administration of a statewide program to establish and enforce child support obligations; and,
WHEREAS, sections 454.800 to 454.808, RSMo, require the development and implementation of a comprehensive statewide automated system for child support; and,
WHEREAS, installation of the comprehensive statewide automated system requires modifications and renovations to real property owned or leased by the County; and,
WHEREAS, the County is authorized to cooperate with DCSE by section 454.405, RSMo; and,
WHEREAS, DCSE and the County are authorized to enter into cooperative agreements by section 454.405, RSMo; and,
WHEREAS, under the proposed Child Support Enforcement Supplemental Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto, the County will perform the modifications and renovations to its facilit es required by state law, the DCSE will reimburse the County 100% of the associated costs; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Child Support Enforcement Supplemental Agreement with the Missouri Department of Social Services.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of he Legislature.
