Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 15705, dated November 21, 2005, enter into a contract with J. M. Fahey Construction Company of Grandview, MO, in the amount of $2,325,027.13, for the Harry Truman Drive Extension Project, No. 2999; and,
WHEREAS, subsequent change orders have increased this contract price by $63,704.85, for a total authorization of $2,388,731.98; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 (Final), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is necessary to make the final adjustments from plan quantities to as-built quantities, and said change order will result in a decrease to the contract in the amount of $439.22; and,
WHEREAS, all work contemplated by the original contract has been completed and is fully acceptable to the County; and,
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the Director of Finance and Purchasing issue final payment to J. M. Fahey Construction Co., in the amount of $178.89; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute Change Order No. 3 (Final) to the contract with J.M. Fahey Construction Co. of Grandview, MO, for the Harry Truman Drive Extension Project, No. 2999; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make final payment on the contract in the amount of $178.89 and unencumber the contract balance of $19,102.42.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
