Body
WHEREAS, the KC In-School Truancy Project is a cooperative project among the City of Kansas City, the Kansas City School District, the Missouri Department of Public Safety, and the County; and,
WHEREAS, under this grant program the Prosecuting Attorney's office will receive $72,234.82, to pay certain personnel costs for the staff who will participate in the program; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 1997 Grant Fund is necessary in order to give effect to this grant; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation as an amendment to her recommended 1997 Jackson County Budget; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1997 Grant Fund:
