Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 14-02 for the furnishing of chain link fence for use by the Parks and Recreation Department at the Fred Arbanas Golf Course; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only three bids thereon, bids from the following:

Challenger Fence Co. $12,877.69
Basehor, KS
Guier Fence Co., Inc. $17,180.96
Blue Springs, MO
Mac's Fence, Inc. $18,400.00
Kansas City, KS
and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Challenger Fence Co. of Basehor, Kansas, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
