A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute contracts with Hearst-Argyle Television, Inc., d/b/a/ KMBC-TV 9 of Kansas City, MO, Fox Entertainment Group d/b/a WDAF-TV of Kansas City, MO, and Scripps Howard Broadcasting d/b/a NBC Action News of Kansas City, MO, for use by the Public Works Department to facilitate the Public Information Campaign at a total aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $42,500.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a need for television production, marketing, and air time for a public information campaign which will inform and educate Jackson County residents on stormwater and E-Gov initiatives; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends contracts with the following vendors for this campaign:

now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, MO, that the County Executive be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County contracts with Hearst-Argyle Television, Inc., d/b/a/ KMBC-TV 9 of Kansas City, MO, Fox Entertainment Group d/b/a WDAF-TV of Kansas City, MO, and Scripps Howard Broadcasting d/b/a NBC Action News of Kansas City, MO, as recommended by the Director of Public Works; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
