IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
A RESOLUTION awarding a term-and-supply contract for the furnishing of Rain-Bird irrigation parts and service for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to Robison's Lawn and Golf of Grandview, MO, to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period, as a sole source purchase.

Body
WHEREAS, Section 1040.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competitive bidding when items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1063.00 of the Code requires notification of and approval by the Legislature on such sole source purchases exceeding $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends a contract with Robison's Lawn and Golf of Grandview, MO, for the furnishing of Rain-Bird irrigation parts and service for use by the Parks nd Recreation Department to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director further recommends that it not take competitive bids with regard to said contract for the reason that Robison's Lawn and Golf of Grandview, MO, is the only known supplier of Rain-Bird irrigation parts and service in the Kansas City metropolitan area; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Purchasing Director be, and hereby is, authorized to execute for the County a contract with Robison's Lawn and
Golf of Grandview, MO, for the furnishing of Rain-Bird irrigation parts and service for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period, and any and all documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to t e using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of he Legislature.
