Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 11498, dated November 12, 1996, enter into a contract with Embrey Excavating of Kingsville, MO, in the amount of $85,640.00, for the Stillhouse Road Culvert #1 Replacement, Project 2328; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed Change Order No. 1, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is necessary as several residences along Jennings Road are experiencing flooding during heavy rains and, since a portion of this contract is for stormwater repairs in Salem East subdivision, the raising of the existing bridge will help alleviate this flooding, and said change order will result in an increase not to exceed $12,000.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Change Order No. 1 to the aforesaid contract is approved and the County Executive is authorized to execute the change order on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, except final payment, on the contract...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
