Body
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department has a continuing need for items for resale at the Fred Arbanas Golf Course at Longview Lake; and,
WHEREAS, the items needed for resale include range balls, golf balls and golf clubs; and,
WHEREAS, the Interim Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing has determined that the items to be purchased are proprietary articles not available in a competitive market; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.6, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing requests authorization for the purchase of these articles from Dunlop Sports of Dallas, TX; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County a contract for the purchase of pro shop articles for resale by the Parks + Rec Department, with Dunlop Sports of Dallas, TX, as proprietary purchases; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute any other documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases is subject to annual appropriation, with estimated annual spending of $50,000.00.
