Body
WHEREAS, the City of Sugar Creek, Missouri, has requested the use of the remaining balance of $23,629.00 from its County Urban Road System (CURS) account to cover the cost of its local match requirement for the preliminary design of the Lewis and Clark Expressway between I-435 and Sterling Avenue, a road within the City that is a part of the CURS system; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature finds that the project proposed by the City will benefit the citizens of Sugar Creek and the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that, pursuant to chapter 28, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to issue a check in the amount of $23,629.00 to the City of Sugar Creek for use on the City's Lewis and Clark Expressway project.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
