IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an agreement with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, for its Delinquency and Youth Violence Prevention Program, at a cost to the County not to exceed $90,180.00. Intro RESOLUTION #11699, April 14, 1997 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the County has received a grant from the Missouri Department of Public Safety in the amount of $66,450.00, for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City's Delinquency and Youth Violence Prevention Program, the goal of which is to provide early intervention activities among fifth grade students in four area elementary schools; and, WHEREAS, the Club has pledged its own funds in the amount of $16,950.00 for this program; and, WHEREAS, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City has requested County Anti-Drug Sales Tax matching funds in the amount of $23,730.00 to implement this program; and, WHEREAS, this is the first year for this grant program; and, WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into the agreement, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
