Body
WHEREAS, Rose Brooks Center's "Project SAFE" is an outreach program in the Center and Grandview School Districts and two elementary schools in the Kansas City, Missouri School District, McCoy and Woodland, whereby anti-drug topics that are of concern to the particular schools are addressed; and,
WHEREAS, Rose Brooks Center has requested $2,594.75 to secure the continuation of its program; and,
WHEREAS, these funds will be used as the local match to state funds in the amount of $10,379.00 for Project SAFE; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, with Rose Brooks Center for the Project SAFE program; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
