Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 2913, dated April 12, 1999, the County Legislature authorized the County Executive to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the Board of Police Commissioners of Kansas City, MO, for the Midwest H.I.D.T.A. Kansas City Metropolitan Enforcement Initiative Task Force, whereunder the Board reimburses the County for 100% of the salary of an assistant prosecuting attorney; and,
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3008, dated March 13, 2000, Resolution 13275, dated July 10, 2000, and Ordinance 3080, dated October 16, 2000, the Legislature did authorize First, Second, and Third Addenda to this Memorandum modifying certain terms at no additional cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, the parties now desire to extend the agreement, as amended for an additional six-month period at no additional cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Forth Addendum to Memorandum of Understanding provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the understanding of the parties; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into the Forth Addendum, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, to the Memorandum of Understanding with the Board of Police Commissioners regarding the Kansas City Metropolitan Enforcement Initiative Task Force.

Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
