Body

WHEREAS, by Resolution 12965, dated November 29, 1999, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute Consolidated Tax Billing and Collection Agreements with the Cities of Raytown, Blue Springs, Lee's Summit, and Grandview, Missouri; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Collections now recommends the execution of revised  Consolidated Tax Billing and Collection Agreements to provide consolidated property tax billing and reciprocal tax collection services with the City of Blue Springs, City of Grandview, City of Lee's Summit, and City of Raytown, at no cost to the County; and,

WHEREAS, the Consolidated Tax Billing and Collection Agreements attached hereto adequately sets out the rights and duties of the parties; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature that  the County Executive  is hereby authorized to execute the attached Consolidated Tax Billing and Collection Agreements  with with the City of Blue Springs, City of Grandview, City of Lee's Summit, and City of Raytown, at no cost to the County.

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
