Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13219, dated May 15, 2000, the Legislature authorized agreements with Cornerstone of Care, among other organizations, to provide anti-drug treatment and rehabilitation services for the purpose of treating users of illegal drugs at a cost to the County not to exceed $166,745.87; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13370, dated September 25, 2000, the Jackson County Legislature did authorize an Addenda to Agreement, extending this contract for an additional twelve months, at a cost to the County not to exceed $195,799.21; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13928, dated December 10, 2001, the Jackson County Legislature did authorize an additional Addendum to Agreement, extending the contract for an additional twelve months, at a cost to the County not to exceed $199,799.21; and,
WHEREAS, the parties desire to further extend the time for performance for an additional six months, and enter into a Third Addenda to the Agreement with Cornerstone of Care, for an additional cost to the County of $50,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute an addendum to Agreement with Cornerstone of Care, at a cost to the County not to exceed $50,000.00, in a general form as approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
