AN ORDINANCE appropriating $25,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 County Urban Road System Fund to cover a design change in the Prospect Bridge project.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 8776, dated May 6, 1991, the Legislature adopted a request by the City of Kansas City which made the improvement of the Prospect Bridge a priority; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature found that the bridge project proposed by the City will benefit the citizens of Kansas City and the citizens of Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, the County subjectly awarded a contract to cover the design of this project; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that the design of the project by modified at an additional cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to fund the recommended design modification; therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 County Urban Road System Fund: DEPARTMENT/DIVISION CHARACTER/DESCRIPTION FROM TO
Unappropriated Surplus $25,000 Div. of Administration Public Works Dept. County Urban Road System Kansas City City Projects $25,000
Attorney Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
