Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 10617, dated January 23, 1995, the County did enter into an agreement with W. T. Dawson to serve as the County's assistant public liaison to assist in advocating the Legislature's positions on various matters during the 1995 regular session of the Missouri General Assembly, to work with the Legislature in conjunction with the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority, particularly regarding proper funding of the leases, and to perform such other duties as may be directed by the Legislature's Intergovernmental Affairs Committee; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature is in receipt of a proposal from Mr. Dawson which would increase the scope of services to be provided by Mr. Dawson under the Agreement, at an additional cost to the County not to exceed $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of Jackson County that Mr. Dawson be retained to provide these additional services; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Addendum to Agreement sets out the rights and obligations of the parties; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chairman of the Legislature's Intergovernmental Affairs Committee be and is authorized to execute the attached Addendum to the Agreement with W. T. Dawson; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement and the Addendum thereto.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
