Body
WHEREAS, Staley High School student David Patrick Menichetti has successfully completed all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and will be recognized on November 8, 2009, at 12:30 p.m., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church; and,
WHEREAS, David began scouting as a Cub Scout in Pack 4165, and later became a member of Troop 80 and Troop 1165; and,
WHEREAS, David is currently a member of Troop 1165, and has held leadership positions of Patrol Leader and Instructor; and,
WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout project, David benefitted the Budd Park Christian Church Youth Center, where he restriped a parking lot and cleaned out weeds; and,
WHEREAS, David is a "Fire builder" in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say Boy Scout Honor Program, his tribal name is "Rolling Fire," and he has earned a total of 25 merit badges; and,
WHEREAS, David's mother, Melissa, and brother, Aaron, join in David's celebration of this honor; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates David Patrick Menichetti upon successfully completing all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and extends well-deserved recognition for his contributions to the Jackson County community.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
