Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 9140., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Legislature may authorize a contract with one or more qualified experts to advise the Board of Equalization; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 9141., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Legislative Auditor prepared Request for Proposal (RFP) 14-08 and distributed same to potential interested parties; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16662, dated June 16, 2008, and Resolution 16930, dated June 15, 2009, the Legislature did authorize the execution of a twelve-month agreement and a twelve-month addendum with a twenty-four month extension option with Abstract Appraisals of Kansas City, MO, pursuant to the terms and conditions of RFP 14-08, at an annual cost to the county not to exceed $7,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Addendum funds were inadvertently released at the end of the previous fiscal year and it is now necessary to execute Addendum No. 2 with Abstract Appraisals under the previously approved twenty-four month extension option for the period of July 1, 2010, to June 30, 2012, at an annual cost to the county not to exceed $7,500.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute Addendum No. 2 for the twenty-four month extension to the agreement with Abstract Appraisals of Kansas City, MO, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the agreement to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
