Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Master Plan "Strategy for the Future" provides for the development and improvement of the County, including recommendations for the most desirable use of land and a system of thoroughfares; and,
WHEREAS, under the "Transportation" section of the Master Plan is a road classification map labeled Exhibit VII.3 - "County Road Classification, Unincorporated Jackson County," which serves as a guide to identify the type of road and design standard so that County resources may be used effectively to construct or maintain each class of street; and,
WHEREAS, Doug Bliss owns a 14-acre tract adjacent to Borgman Road and has filed an application to amend the Master Plan "Strategy for the Future," adopted January 1994, by changing the road classification of Borgman Road from "collector" to "local;" and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Plan Commission, on September 18, 1997, held a public hearing and accepted testimony pertaining to the Master Plan Amendment, and the Jackson County Plan Commission, unanimously recommended approval of the application submitted by Doug Bliss (LA-97-007) of the Master Plan Amendment; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature, hereby amends the Jackson County Master Plan "Strategy for the Future" by changing the road classification of Borgman Road from "collector" to "local."

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
