Body
WHEREAS, St. Pius X High School junior Jonathan Aaron McNeely has successfully completed all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and will be recognized on November 8, 2009, at 12:30 p.m., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church; and,
WHEREAS, Aaron began scouting as a Cub Scout and Weblos Scout in Pack 80, and earned the Arrow of Light; and,
WHEREAS, Aaron is currently a member of Troop 80 and has held leadership positions of Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader; and,
WHEREAS, at St. Pius X High School, Aaron is on the Varsity football team, excelling in sports and in his studies; and,
WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout project, Aaron benefitted the Support Life Women's Clinic of Kansas City, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, Aaron is a "Fire builder" in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say Boy Scout Honor Program, his tribal name is "Fierce Hawk," he has attended camp at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation for the past six years, and he has earned a total of 29 merit badges; and,
WHEREAS, Aaron's mother, Shannon, and his godfather, Greg McNeely, join in Aaron's celebration of this honor; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Jonathan Aaron McNeely upon successfully completing all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and extends well-deserved recognition for his contributions to the Jackson County community.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
