Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 13356, dated September 18, 2000, enter into a contract with Jenkins & Associates of Shawnee Mission, KS, in the actual amount of $684,000.00, and authorized additional expenditures approved by the County Executive at a cost not to exceed $34,200.00, for a total amount not to exceed $718,200.00 for the Independence Courthouse Annex Ground Floor Renovation Project; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive has approved Change Order No. 1 for a total of $5,109.00, as authorized by Resolution 13356; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed Change Order No. 2, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is necessary due to miscellaneous contract changes and additions, and said change order will result in an increase not to exceed $110,015.00 for a new total cost not to exceed $828,215.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Change Order No. 2 to the aforesaid contract is approved and the County Executive is authorized to execute the change order on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, except final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
