Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4538, dated June 24, 2013, the Legislature authorized the acceptance of the Emergency Operation Center grant awarded by the Missouri Office of Homeland Security for use by the Sheriff's Office; and,
WHEREAS, the Office of Homeland Security has authorized the modification of the grant to include Emergency Operations Center (EOC) renovation activities at the Sheriff's Office's new headquarters and an extension of the grant to June 30, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place the funds necessary for the EOC renovation in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfers within the 2014 Grant Fund be and hereby are made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Sheriff's Office and all other County officials be and hereby are authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to the extension.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
