Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR, a tract of land described as follows:

                     Description:

 

The 5 ± acres are approximately ¾ of a mile east of Elsea Smith Road on the south side of Blue Mills Road and specifically described as:

 

A tract of land located in northwest quarter of Section 8, Township 50, Range 30.  Being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the northwest corner of said northwest quarter; thence S88̊34'32"E along the north line of said northwest quarter a distance of 1105.51 feet to the point of beginning of the tract of land to be described; thence continuing S88̊34'32"E along said north line a distance of 344.49 feet; thence S04̊48'22"W a distance of 672.92 feet; thence N88̊34'32"W a distance of 304.04 feet; thence N01̊21'38"E a distance of 671.75 feet to the point of beginning.  Contains 217,824 square feet or 5.00 acres more or less.  Except that part now taken for Blue Mills Road right-of-way.                     

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Jim Swearingen (RZ-2006-387), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted unanimously recommended approval of this application at a public hearing on January 19, 2006, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
