IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to RE (Residential Estates), a certain 12 + acre tract. Intro ORDINANCE 2702, August 4, 1997 INTRODUCED BY Fred Arbanas, County Legislator Body BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows: Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows: The 12 ñ acre tract of land generally located 1/10 of a mile south of Haines Road on the east side of Harris Road and described as follows: part of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 24, Township 47N, Range 31W in Jackson County, Missouri; commencing at the NW corner of said NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4; thence S 02 16' 53" W along the west line of said NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4, a distance of 657.53 feet to the POB, said point being on the south line of the north 20.0 acres of said NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4; thence S 87' 30' 25" E along the south line of said north 20.0 acres and parallel with the north line of said NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4, a distance of 1325.11 feet to a point on the east line of the SE 1/4 of said section 24; thence S 02 16' 18" W along the east line of the SE 1/4 of said Section 24, a distance of 394.47 feet to a point; thence N 87 30' 25" W parallel with the north line of said NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4, a distance of 1325.18 feet to a point on the west line of said NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4; thence N 02 16' 53" E along said west line, a distance of 394.47 feet to the Point of Beginning. Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Bennett Brodersen (RZ-97-068), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on July 17, 1997, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning...Attorney Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
