WHEREAS, the Family Court Division's Child Protection Center (CPC) has been awarded a grant in the amount of $39,242.00 by the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City for the period August 20, 2006, to August 19, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used for a full time forensic interviewer, supplies, training, and translation services to supplement the CPC program; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funding in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2006 Grant Fund:
