IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to RR (Residential Ranchette), a certain 24.2 + acre tract and approving the preliminary plat "Walnut Creek," creating a 4-lot residential subdivision. Intro ORDINANCE 2789, March 9, 1998 Body BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows: Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR a tract of land described as follows: Description: A 24.2 ñ acre tract of land generally locate 1/4 of a mile north of Stringtown Road on the west side of Hedgecock Road and specifically described as a tract of land in the Southwest Quarter of Section 28, Township 47, Range 30 in Jackson County, Missouri. COMMENCING at the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 28; thence North 89 58'56" West, along the South line of said Southwest Quarter Section, a distance of 1994.56 feet (meas.) 2006.07 feet (deed); thence North 2 20'40" East, 643.50 feet East of and parallel with the West line of said Southwest Quarter Section, a distance of 821.55 feet, to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence South 89 58'56" East, parallel with the South line of said Southwest Quarter Section, a distance of 952.90 feet, to a point in the approximate centerline of Hedgecock Road, as it presently exists; thence North 21 39'55" East, along said approximately centerline, a distance of 146.28 feet (meas.) 140.87 feet (deed); thence North 30 05'00" East, along said approximate centerline, a distance of 270.70 feet; thence North 23 03'51" East, along said approximate centerline, and it's northerly prolongation, a distance of 498.61 feet; thence South 89 52'06" West, parallel with the North line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 28, a distance of 861.80 feet (meas.) 842.77 feet (deed); thence North 2 25'38" East, parallel with the East line of said Southwest Quarter Section, a distance of 323.40 feet; thence North 89 51'20" West, a distance of 442.71 feet (meas.) 455.07 feet (deed); thence South 2 20'40" West, 643.50 feet East of and parallel with the West line of said Southwest Quarter Section, a distance of 1151.85 feet, to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Section 2. The preliminary plat "Walnut Creek," creating a 4-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved. Section 3. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Randy and Gwen Armstrong (RZ-98-095), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on February 19, 1998, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning...Attorney Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
