IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title Authorizing the Chair of the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission to execute an addendum to the prior agreement with The Salvation Army, for its stabilization and treatment transition program to provide additional funding on the recommendation of the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission not to exceed $37,960. Intro RESOLUTION #10862, June 5, 1995 INTRODUCED BY Lisa White Hardwick, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission was empowered by Ordinance 1771, 1795 and 1941 to make recommendations to the Legislature for the expenditure of Anti-Drug Sales Tax Funds for the purposes of treatment and rehabilitation of drug offenders; and, WHEREAS, The Salvation Army received funding through Resolution #10679, dated February 21, 1995 in the amount of $37,960 for its social detoxification program upon the recommendation of the Fiscal Commission; and, WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has carefully reviewed a proposal from The Salvation Army for additional services to County and funding for them; and, WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has recommended an increase in services and additional funding in the amount of $37,960 for The Salvation Army's proposal; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chair of the Fiscal Commission is hereby authorized to enter into the attached addendum to agreement, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference, with The Salvation Army; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
