Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Division of Youth Services, has awarded a grant in the amount of $61,986.00 to the Family Court Division of the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri for its School Based Prevention and Diversionary Program; and,
WHEREAS, the School Based Prevention and Diversionary Program is a strength based multi-faceted community based initiative that seeks the engagement of parents, circuit court judges, schools, family courts, and the community at large in order to provide the best educational opportunities for "at risk students"; and,
WHEREAS, the term of this grant is from July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation of $61,986.00 is required in order to place the monies in the proper spending accounts for use by the Family Court Division; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2005 Grant Fund:
