IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
AN ORDINANCE appropriating $35,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2002 Health Fund and authorizing the County Executive to execute a First Addendum to the Agreement with Cabot Westside Clinic to provide a variety of health care and social welfare services to the indigent residents of the Westside of Kansas City, Missouri, at an additional cost to the county not to exceed $35,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13991, dated January 28, 2002, the Legislature did authorize an agreement with the Cabot Westside Clinic to provide a variety of health care and social welfare services to the indigent residents of the Westside of Kansas City, Missouri, at a cost to the County not to exceed $45,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature now desires to increase the funding allocated to this agency to bring that funding up to the level allocated in previous years; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Addendum to Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to provide this increased funding; and,
WHEREAS, in order to provide this increased funding, an appropriation is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation as an amendment to her proposed annual County budget; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made:

and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Executive be and is hereby authorized to execute the attached Addendum to Agreement with Cabot Westside Clinic, Inc; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Addendum thereto.

Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
