WHEREAS, the Child Protection Center program, administered by the Family Court Division, has been awarded a grant totaling $4,605.00 by the U.S. Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and National Children's Alliance; and,
WHEREAS, the grant funds will cover video and audio recording equipment used by the Child Protection Center to record children's forensic interviews; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2006 Grant Fund:
