Body
WHEREAS, the County has been advised that it has been awarded a grant for the Santa Fe National Historic Trail Program from the National Park Service; and,
WHEREAS, these funds will allow for the fabrication and installation of an interpretive sign and associated landscaping at Fort Osage National Historic Landmark; and,
WHEREAS, the estimated cost for this program is $5,630.00 and the National Park Service will reimburse the County a maximum of $2,662.00; and,
WHEREAS, the County's share of the project will be in-kind labor; and,
WHEREAS, in order to fund this program, an appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2000 Grant Fund is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation; therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the 2000 Grant Fund to cover the grant for the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Program funded by the National Park Service:
