Body

WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends a seven month term and supply contract to American Equipment Co. of Kansas City, KS, Knapheide Truck Equipment Co. of Kansas City, MO, and Drake-Scruggs Equipment of Grandview, MO, under three (3) existing government contracts (No. PA4549-01, PA4549-03, and PA4549-04) of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, in the estimated aggregate amount not to exceed $45,000.00; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing recommends the possible utilization of all three (3) existing government contract on an as needed basis within the estimated aggregate amount not to exceed $45,000.00; and,

 

WHEREAS, Section 1064., Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the purchases under the existing government contract of the City of Kansas City, Missouri,  be made to American Equipment Co. of Kansas City, KS, Knapheide Truck Equipment Co. of Kansas City, MO, and Drake-Scruggs Equipment of Grandview, MO, in the estimated aggregate amount not to exceed $45,000.00, as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the purchase; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the contract.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
