Body
WHEREAS, Resolution 20965 authorized the County Executive to execute an Agreement with the City of Grandview, MO for construction services for the Longview Trail; and,
WHEREAS, Jackson County and the City of Grandview entered into a Cooperative Agreement dated July 8, 2022 to cover the shared costs for the design and engineering of a bicycle and pedestrian bridge along the Longview Trail; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Grandview put the project out for public bid and awarded a contract to Radmacher Brothers Excavating Co., Inc. of Pleasant Hill, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the project received an allocation of funds from the Federal Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) in the amount of $1,700,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the cost share of Jackson County for the project is $118,262.00, and;
WHEREAS, the proposed First Amendment will set forth the responsibilities for the City of Grandview and Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached First Amendment of the restoration of the Jackson County Longview Trail at a cost to the County not to exceed $118,262.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
