Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  Pursuant to the United Development Code of Jackson County, section 24003.24, Jackson County Code, 1984, a 1.96 + acre tract within the subdivision "Llewellyn Acres" is hereby vacated, said tract being specifically described as follows:

 

Description:

 

The 1.96 ± acres are located on the east side of Howell Road, approximately ½ mile south of Pink Hill Road and specifically described as a portion of Lot 1, Llewellyn Acres a subdivision of land in Jackson County, Missouri being described as follows:  commencing at a found 3/8" bar at the Northeast corner of the Northeast quarter of Section 24, T49N, R30W, per certified land corner document number 600-30353; THENCE South 01 degrees 26 minutes 08 seconds West along the East line of the Northeast quarter of said section 24, a distance of 1791.02 feet, THENCE North 88 degrees 28 minutes 36 seconds West a distance of 1047.28 feet, to a point on the East of Lot 1 Llewellyn Acres, said point also being the Point of Beginning; THENCE along said East line South 02 degrees 00 minutes 02 seconds West a distance of 292.05 to a point on the South of Lot 1 Llewellyn Acres; THENCE along said South line North 88 degrees 27 minutes 43 seconds West a distance of 287.91 to a point on the West of Lot 1 Llewellyn Acres; THENCE along said West line North 01 degrees 36 minutes 37 seconds East a distance of 316.89 to a point on the West of Lot 1 Llewellyn Acres; THENCE South 88 degrees 28 minutes 05 seconds East a distance of 30.00 feet; THENCE South 88 degrees 23 minutes 23 seconds East a distance of 10.00 feet; THENCE along a curve to the left a radius of 24.86, an initial tangent bearing of South 01 degrees 36 minutes 37 seconds West, delta angle 90 degrees 05 minutes 13 seconds, for a distance of 39.09 feet; THENCE South 88 degrees 28 minutes 36 seconds East a distance of 225.00 feet to the point of beginning and containing 85,492 square feet or 1.96 acres.

 

 

 

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Dave Halphin (LA-2007-018), requesting the vacation embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application at a public hearing on June 21, 2007, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
