Body
WHEREAS, the regional ALERT/ETAC data warehouse merges the City of Kansas City, MO's ALERT System and ETAC (the Metro Kansas City Emerging Threat Analysis Capability) and was established for the purpose of sharing criminal history record and other criminal justice information in an effort to establish communications among law enforcement agencies without regard to jurisdictional boundaries to maximize the ability of all agencies to solve criminal cases; and,
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office desires to participate in ALERT/ETAC, at an annual cost of $35,000, as is more fully set out in the attached Multijurisdictional Cooperative Agreement; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to cover the Sheriff's portion of this cost; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 2007 Special Road and Bridge Fund:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, required by the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
