Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 15473, dated April 25, 2005, the Legislature did award a two-year term and supply contract for the furnishing of drug treatment services for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Drug Court program to Kansas City Community Center of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, under the terms and conditions of RFP No. 65-04, as the best overall bid; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16216, dated March 19, 2007, the Legislature did authorize a twelve-month extension of this contract, through March 31, 2008, at the same unit costs; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney now recommends that the scope of treatment services that can be offered by this agency be increased to allow more efficient use of the funds previously allocated to this contract, but at no additional cost to the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Second Addendum to the term and supply contract with Kansas City Community Center of Kansas City, MO, as recommended by the Prosecuting Attorney; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract and all addenda, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
