Body
WHEREAS, Legislator Manuel Abarca IV is proud to recognize the remarkable achievements of the Northeast High School Vikings Boys’ Soccer Team, which has captured the attention and admiration of the Kansas City community through their outstanding performance this season; and,
WHEREAS, with an undefeated record of 20-0, the Vikings have demonstrated
extraordinary teamwork, discipline, and skill, scoring more than 119 goals and allowing only 4, an accomplishment that stands as a testament to their dedication both on and off the field; and,
WHEREAS, this historic run has brought immense pride to Northeast High School, where the team’s success has united students, teachers, and families in support of their school’s remarkable athletes; and,
WHEREAS, many members of this talented team began their soccer journeys through the Mattie Rhodes Center’s youth soccer program, Soccer for Success which has long served as a cornerstone of opportunity and mentorship for local youth, and,
WHEREAS, the continued excellence of Northeast’s soccer program reflects the strength of community partnerships that nurture student athletes from a young age and empower them to achieve greatness in both academics and athletics; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED on behalf of the Jackson County Legislature, that the Legislature hereby congratulates the Northeast High School Vikings Boys’ Soccer Team in celebration of their achievements and as a symbol of Jackson County’s continued support for our youth.

Effective Date: This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
