Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19315, dated November 28, 2016, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of a 2006 Ford F-450 Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) Van received from the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) for use by the Sheriff’s Office; and,
WHEREAS, as part of this transfer of this vehicle, MoDOT provided assistance in securing a grant of $12,000.00 to equip the BAT Van to the Sheriff’s Office standards; and,
WHEREAS, the Sheriff’s Office has now received a grant from National Priority Safety Program for this purpose; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2017 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
