A RESOLUTION congratulating Marjorie Larson on her 19 years with the Jackson County Board of Election Commissioners, and wishing her well on her retirement.

Body

WHEREAS, Marjorie Larson, Assistant Director of Election Preparation and Balloting and Supervisor of Mapping and Street Guide for the Jackson County Board of Election Commissioners, is retiring after many dedicated years of service; and,

 

WHEREAS, Marj will end her 19-year career on June 5, 2000; and,

 

WHEREAS, Marj has held a myriad of duties, including coordinating all judge training sessions, managing the proofing of all official ballots as well as absentee and sample, supervising the issuing and counting of all absentee ballots, supervising of Mapping and Street Guide departments, participating in two county-wide redistricting projects and two voter registration computerizations, and assisting in the implementation of The Handicap Accessibility and National Voter Registration Act; and,

 

WHEREAS, Marj has displayed professionalism and exemplary service during her tenure with the Board, is highly respected for the work she has performed, and will be greatly missed by her friends and co-workers; therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Marjorie Larson for her 19 years of service with the Jackson County Board of Election Commissioners, and wishes her well in her retirement and all future endeavors.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
