WHEREAS, the Office of State Courts Administrator has awarded a grant to the Family Court Division of the Circuit Court for its Domestic Violence Spanish Translation Project; and,
WHEREAS, this project provides Spanish translation services including signage for the courthouse, informational brochures, and translating critical documents used in the domestic violence process; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the grant funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the fund balance of the 2009 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
