IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an End User Client Radar-Net Agreement with Baron Services, Inc., of Huntsville, AL, to provide doppler radar access to the County's Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, at no cost to the County for the initial calendar year. Intro RESOLUTION #12225, June 1, 1998 INTRODUCED BY John C. Graham, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, KCTV-5, with the support of Aerial Communications, has made arrangements for local cities and counties to have access to its Radar-Net, a severe weather warning system utilizing doppler radar technology; and, WHEREAS, this technology is being made available through Baron Services, Inc., of Huntsville, AL, which will provide the computer hardware, software, and training required to implement the program; and, WHEREAS, there is no change for the County's participation in Radar-Net for the first year and, thereafter, should the County choose to continue to participate, the cost will be $125.00 per month; and, WHEREAS, the attached "End User Client RadarNet Agreement" provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement this program; and, WHEREAS, the execution of this Agreement is in the best interests of the health welfare and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached End User Client RadarNet Agreement with Baron Services, Inc. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
