BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "AG" (Agricultural) and “RE” (Residential Estates) Districts, so that there will be transferred from District AG to District RE a 12.00± tract of land located at 34906 E. Colbern Road in Jackson County, MO, legally described as follows:
Description: A Part of Tract 3, as recorded in Certificate of Survey, with an instrument number of 2026E0021810, Book T64, Page 36 lying in the North half of Section 25, Township 48, Range 30, in Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Northeast quarter of said Section 25; thence along the South line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section, North 87 degrees 50 minutes 12 seconds West, 153.12 feet; thence North 01 degrees 55 minutes 48 seconds East, 732.40 feet; thence North 40 degrees 25 minutes 03 seconds East, 293.51 feet; thence North 84 degrees 43 minutes 25 seconds East, 221.99 feet; thence South 02 degrees 08 minutes 44 seconds West, 569.03 feet; thence North 68 degrees 21 minutes 26 seconds East, 295.62 feet; thence South 01 degrees 53 minutes 16 seconds West, 508.90 feet; thence North 88 degrees 01 minutes 23 seconds West, 97.76 feet to a point of curvature; thence along a curve to the left, having a chord bearing of South 85 degrees 19 minutes 36 seconds West, a chord distance of 274.77 feet, a radius of 1186.28 feet, and an arc length of 275.39 feet; thence North 87 degrees 50 minutes 12 seconds West, 148.27 feet to the Point of Beginning. containing 11.25 acres, more or less, except that part in road.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Jordan Butcher (RZ-2026-717), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 8 to 0 to recommend APPROVAL of this application after a public hearing on July 16, 2026, does hereby adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
