WHEREAS, the Departments of Public Works and Parks and Recreation have a continuing need for John Deere industrial equipment, replacement parts, and related services; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 1040.4 and 1064., of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of an twelve (12) month term and supply contract for the furnishing of John Deere industrial equipment, replacement parts, and services for use by the Department of Public Works and the Parks and Recreation Department to Murphy Tractor and Equipment, Kansas City, MO, under an existing government contract of the City of Kansas City, MO (Contract No. PA-4233); now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made to Murphy Tractor and Equipment of Kansas City, MO, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make payments to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
