Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 133-95 for the furnishing of three loaders (wheel, skid steer, backhoe) and a rotary disc brush cutter for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the actual amounts for the respective vendors as follows:

Mid-America Industrial $27,846.00

WHEREAS, the acquisition of these new loaders has rendered the existing 1975 Case model W-14H wheel loader #9119488 as surplus property; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this loader by way of trade-in; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the existing loader be and hereby is declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of it by way of trade-in.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
