WHEREAS, by Request for Proposals 35-07, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written proposals for consulting services to determine the feasibility of adopting Voice over Protocol (VoIP) Internet or other alternative communications systems for use by various County departments; and,
WHEREAS, a total of thirty-five (35) solicitations were distributed and ten (10) proposals were received, as follows:

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a contract to Alexander Open Systems of Overland Park, KS, as the lowest and best bidder meeting specifications; and,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
